July 8, 2001 – Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith, Montgomery Gentry, Keith Urban
I am on a mission to scrap all of my country music concerts (there are A LOT of them). I finished my first concert tonight. I had three of the four pages done already, so all I did was finish up the last page and make it match the other page. Nothin' fancy.

I'm so excited to having found this group.
I've been scrapbooking for not even a year now and it's been frustrating trying to find other scrapbookers who are a little "alternative" like myself.
Anyway, I feverishly scanned some pages today from my Fischerspooner scrapbook I've been working on.
They're one of my favorite bands and over the last 3 years i've seen them quite a few times as well as collected memoribilia.
I look forward to gaining some inspiration and new skills for my new Muse scrapbook - a band i followed around for 13 shows last year.
I see lots of shows, and I always save ticket stubs, but for now I'm concentrating on these 2 bands.
My main photos page is at: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v235/groovcat/scrapbooking/
Here are some choice thumbnails:

Glad to be here!!

This is from their Halloween show - I used actual feathers from the wig i wore and put swatches of the fishnet stockings on their too:)

Need your ideas
I am doing research for a new Scrapbooking television show. I was wondering what kind of things would get you to watch a show on scrapbooking? We are wanting to make it hip, fun, and gear to a youthful audience. I would love to hear what kind of scrapbooking ideas you are interested in.

I've had a pretty positive response, so I set up the secret swap comm that I was asking about....

Go sign up if you're interested - information and user surveys will be posted soon!

A proposition....
I don't know if this is allowed or not, but here goes:

Is anyone interested in doing a swap, where each person would get another person's name and some ideas of what types of pages, etc., they like to do so that we can send a page kits to each other? It would be like Secret Santa, but instead of Christmas presents we would be sending scrapbooking supplies. To keep the cost down, there would be a price limit - other exchanges that I've done have gone as high as $25, but for something like this, where you're making a kit, I'm thinking that the limit will be lower - maybe in the $10 range?

It doesn't have to be kits - we could exchange borders, tags, cards, whatever. I've been doing border swaps for a while now, but I think that page kits would be more interesting, and I think that doing it anonymously is more fun.

If enough people are interested, I'll set up a community, and handle the matching of names. All you would have to do is join, submit your info, and send stuff to your secret scrapper....

Anyone interested?

Intro Post
Hey scrappers... I'm Cheryl. Chicago based scrap addict, and fairly new to this craft. One thing I'm not new to is concerts - I probably go to (or perform in) a minimum of 100 a year. The artists I see most include Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Matt Nathanson, Ari Hest, Marc Broussard and more. I guess I have a soft spot for boys with guitars. ;)

Anyways, I have posted a couple of my pages in other LJ Communities, but here are the few that I do have scanned...

I have a ton of shows to work on during my vacation days. Hopefully I can post more soon! Happy scrappin!

hi i'm kristy! i havent actually done any concert scrapping, but i think it's a great idea. i have gone to quite a few local shows over the years and think it would be awesome to put all those memories together (just wish i had taken more pics back then). some of my favorite bands are strata (from my hometown and just recently being played on mtv. their cd comes out today, go buy it!!!), trapt, finger 11, staind, evanescence, dashboard confessional, and many others that i would name if i wasnt having a brain fart!
